ANGLICANS SAY THEY ARE CHALLENGED BY CATHOLIC BISHOPS VISIT TO THEIR DOMAIN

Anglican faithful at the St. Peters Anglican Church, Ezi Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State say they are challenged and appreciative of the unexpected and sudden courtesy visit of the Catholic Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Most Rev Denis Isizoh at the weekend.

            Bishop[ Isizoh who was  on official pastoral visit at the Saint Catherine Catholic Church Awkuzu demonstrated rare ecumenical brotherhood by paying a short visit to the St Peters Anglican Church, Awkuzu which shares an open boundary with Saint Catherine Catholic Church, Awkuzu.

            The delighted Anglican faithful led by an Anglican Priest, Rev Daniel Ukaegbu expressed appreciation to Bishop Isizoh for his visit.

            According to Rev Ukaegbu, they were challenged by the Bishop visit and rare show of brotherhood.

            In his brief remark, Bishop Isizoh enjoined both the Catholic and Anglican faithful to continue o live in peace as they are all children of Jesus Christ.

            ‘I urge you all to continue to relate as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and maintain the long existing peaceful neighbourliness’, Bishop Isizoh urged.
