Christians all over the world today observed the Palm Sunday. At the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Onitsha, thousands of faithful thronged the various masses celebrated to mark the event.

During the last mass of the day, presided over by the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke, he described what transpired before Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem as an indication that Jesus is a true master of the universe no mortal can compete with.

> According to the Archbishop, Jesus as a master was in control, knowledgeable, and foresees the future and present which was why he (Jesus)directed his disciples where to find a donkey on which he rode to Jerusalem thus buttressing claims that Jesus is a true prophet.

The Archbishop spoke about the sufferings and humiliation

of Jesus Christ for which he was eventually exalted and lifted up as the lord and savior of mankind.

The Archbishop admonished the faithful not to see their sufferings as manmade or attribute it to someone else but to always remain prayerful, confident and unwavering in the lord.

The true faithful he pointed out must always see the lord Jesus as their hope and strength in the face of all tribulations.

The Archbishop urged Christians to ensure that they live holy lives throughout the Holy Week and show exemplary conduct in their relationship with others.

Priests who assisted the Archbishop in celebration of the mass include the Chancellor of the Archdiocese, Rev Fr Dr, Anthony Asoanya, the Vice Chancellor Rev Fr Dr Patrick Omuta, the Rector of the Basilica, Rev Fr Dr Francis Nwokedi Ezumezu among others priests and religious.
